Our Pre-certification program is for Pilates students who wish to enter the Pilates Center Teacher Training Program in Boulder, but have not yet fulfilled their prerequisites. It is intended to help students achieve proficiency and understanding of the intermediate to advanced level exercises in a timely manner.
We have intentionally designed our program to be flexible enough to accommodate individual needs, goals, and schedules, but because it is loosely structured and self-directed, it is advised that you choose a teacher at Pilates Aligned as a mentor to guide you through the process and help you best utilize your classes and lessons. We recommend that aspiring Pilates professionals obtain their certification through The Pilates Center's Teacher Training Curriculum. Completion of our pre-certification program does not guarantee acceptance into the Pilates Center's Teacher Training Curriculum. To enter the their program, you must pass an initial evaluation by a Pilates Center trainer. Click here for additional information on The Pilates Center of Boulder, Colorado.
This hour long class is an ideal way to stay connected to the many teachers in the area and intended to stimulate, energize, and offer fresh perspectives. The classes’ subjects are mostly student initiated and fluid in structure, so that we are always addressing important and pertinent things that arise from week to week. Questions, issues, and ideas are tackled through symposium-like dialogue and hands-on interaction in a supportive and non-judgmental environment. We are currently exploring the subject of imagry and ideokinesis using Eric Franklin's book, Dynamic Alignment Through Imagery as a spring board into discussion. Because Cara mentored closely with Kathy Grant, classes are often peppered with history, anecdotes, and exercises that help keep us grounded in our roots! Class will often include a physical workout during our hands-on approach to exploring different aspects of Pilates. Later this Fall, we plan to have some guest teachers from other fields of movement and body work to open up a discussion about the various ways others approach the human body and movement and how this can be applicable to Pilates Class meets weekly with Cara Reeser on Mondays from 11:00-12:00 For Pilates Instructors looking to practice with their peers and stay strong in their bodies there are several classes we recommend:
